Greenhouse Gas Emissions in BC 1990-2021

THE SPREADSHEET BELOW is produced each year by the Province of BC. The numbers are in kilotonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions. The spreadsheet extends downward and to the right. Emissions due to forest management are highlighted in yellow. To learn more about the methodology used in determining GHG emissions, refer to the Methodology Book for the British Columbia Provincial Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. As the province is constantly changing the record of emissions, we are keeping the 2020 record (made available in 2022, spreadsheet immediately below) as a baseline against which those changes can be gauged.  The second spreadsheet below contains the most recent published data.
